MAIE
One workspace where a goal becomes finished work.
MAIE is building the production memory layer for the creative industry, in partnership with Midwest Media Alliance's mission. Every tool knows how to do one thing. MAIE knows what you're trying to make.
The problem
Media intelligence has matured. The tools to bring it all together haven't.
Scene detection, captioning, transcription, similarity search — the individual capabilities are mature, but scattered across disconnected tools. Creative teams still glue uploads, model calls, and exports together by hand — a bespoke process that can't be shared, sold, or replayed. And no platform treats the creator as a persistent entity whose reputation and history compound over time. Every session starts fresh.
A different premise
The unit of work isn't a tool. It's a goal.
Workspace
“What am I working on?”
Projects as the organizing unit. Media files, processing state, agent history, and marketplace assets all share one frame of reference.
Intelligence
“I know what I want to do.”
A planning agent that converts a natural-language goal into a concrete, inspectable, risk-gated sequence of steps — then carries it out.
Identity
“Is anything stuck?”
A living creative presence. Reputation, real-time state, and history that persist across every session, fully customizable and portable.
The Agent
Goal → Plan → In Motion.
State a goal in plain language. The agent turns it into a concrete, inspectable plan before anything runs — and every plan is risk-gated, so trust is built in, not assumed.

Marketplace
Doing the work and building the product are the same action.
A workflow built once can be packaged and resold — creative blueprints, identity themes, agent skins, scene data, achievement collections, creative recipes. The original creator earns a share on every future use, and pricing is public from the first visit — never behind a login wall.
Why not just use...
How MAIE is different
vs. General creative suites
MAIE adds a planning layer, so a plain-language goal drives professional-grade depth without requiring the operator to already be an expert in the tool.
vs. Single-purpose AI tools
MAIE absorbs the orchestration work of sequencing scattered point solutions — the goal is the unit of interaction, not the individual model call.
vs. Chatbot-wrapper products
MAIE has first-class project/file context, risk-gated approval, transparent multi-step execution, and a direct path from "the agent did this once" to "this is now a sellable product."
For the technically curious: what's underneath
MAIE runs on conventional, well-understood infrastructure, chosen deliberately for operational predictability over architectural novelty: a React/TypeScript frontend, a FastAPI backend (REST + WebSocket for live state), a Celery task queue, and PostgreSQL as the system of record — multi-tenant from the data model up, not retrofitted.
